What I do

Golf osteopathy.

Hands-on treatment and a clear explanation of what is limiting your swing, from someone who understands golf.

A golf swing asks a lot of the body: rotation through the mid-back and hips, stability through the feet, and speed through the shoulders and arms. When one area stiffens or tires, another often pays for it.

I use osteopathy to assess how you move, treat what is sore or restricted, and explain why it is happening. I am TPI certified, so I look at your body in the context of your swing, not just where it hurts.

Treatment is only part of it. Where it helps, I will give you exercises to do between visits and link you with training at Links.

What I look at

The areas that matter for golf.

1

Lower back

The most common area golfers bring to me. I look at how the back is being asked to move, and what the hips and mid-back are or are not doing.

2

Mid-back and shoulders

Rotation through the upper back is a big part of a free, repeatable swing. Stiffness here can show up as neck, shoulder or lower back pain.

3

Hips and legs

Hip rotation and stability decide how well you can load and shift weight through the swing.

4

Feet, knees and elbows

Injuries lower down or further out change how you swing. I look at them as part of the whole.

Assessment
